Want to find a cruelty-free, vegan parka to keep you warm this winter? Finding a vegan winter coat isn’t always the easiest task, which I know well after 14 years of being vegan.

Winter coats are often stuffed with down feathers, lined with fur trim or made of wool — but thankfully there are plenty of vegan alternatives to keep you out of the cold. That’s why I’ve put together this list of the best vegan parkas.

Bedi Slat men’s vegan parka

Bedi is one of the newer vegan coat brands and they make very warm coats. Their down free winter coats are also made with sustainable materials.

Started by the founder of Matt & Nat, Bedi is based in Canada and uses eco-friendly materials like local metals for zips and Econyl (like this parka), made from discarded fish nets and waste from carpet fibers.

This vegan insulated jacket is a 3/4 length parka and is rated down to -30 Celsius/-22 Fahrenheit!

The downside is if you’re in a warmer country, this will be far too hot for your winter and you’re likely to get sweaty. However, these vegan jackets perfect if you live in a cold climate and want to stay toasty warm inside your coat.

It’s also water repellent, is lined with Exkin Air insulation, has fleece lined storm cuffs and a storm hood.

This vegan down parka from Bedi is very warm – it’s rated up to -30 C / -22 F – and it’s made with sustainable materials.

The outer is Econyl, an eco-friendly fabric made from abandoned fishing nets and carpet fiber waste. It’s filled with Exkin Air insulation, and the pockets and collar are lined with vegan suede.

It has fleece-lined storm cuffs plus a storm hood, is water-repellent, and has a tapered below-the-knee fit.

The classic style of these vegan insulated jackets will match everything, though the downside, as I mentioned above, is it’s not suitable for a warmer climate – you’ll likely be too hot in a coat rated to -30 C / -22 F if you live somewhere that doesn’t get that cold.

Noize Winter Plus long length vegan winter parka

This long length winter parka is available in plus sizes. The PETA-approved vegan parka jacket has removable faux fur trim, a detachable hood, and it’s designed with a high neck to keep you extra warm.

The Noize vegan parka is rated down to -30 C / -22 F.

It has side vents for comfort, and is rated 4.5/5 stars with 13 customer reviews.

Will's recycled quilted parka

Will’s recycled quilted vegan men’s parka

This classic style vegan parka coat is rated down to -22 C / -7.6 F. Its quilted padding is made of 100% recycled polyamide insulation.

The hood and upper body are lined with 100% recycled vegan fleece. The lower body, on the other hand, is lined with 100% bamboo for breathability.

It’s water- and wind-resistant and also made of a tough fabric that’s snag-resistant too!

This parka is the version of the Komodo parka listed above in women’s sizes. It comes in burgundy or navy and is made of organic cotton and a soft fleece lining made of recycled plastic bottles.

The waist and hood are both adjustable and it’s water-resistant. It’s machine washable at 30 C.

Embassy of Bricks and Logs puffer vegan parka (men’s)

This cross between a parka and a puffer jacket is filled with E100 “No Down” filling, made of recycled PET. The fabric is also made of 100% recycled materials, as is the lining.

It has vegan horn-style buttons and an oversized silhouette.

It has a storm flap and a stand-up collar with extra flap to keep you extra warm!

Beige Will's parka

Will’s women’s Continental cruelty free parka

This parka cut in a trench coat style looks ideal for spring or autumn looks, though I wouldn’t go for it for winter (unless you live somewhere that doesn’t get very cold winters).

Made of a tightly woven, thin cotton garbardine, it has a poplin cotton lining and biodegradable buttons. The classic beige colour will go with every outfit.

It has an asymmetrical hem and a swing shape, getting wider as it goes down.

Person wearing black parka from Noize

Noize Lauren vegan long parka

This heavyweight parka is a mid length, and will shield you at temperatures down to -30 C / -22 F.

It has a fixed hood and a storm placket. The hood is padded for extra warmth.
